Along with each new iPhone release, Apple has included capabilities that have kept the gadget popular and in great demand. The difference between the 3G and 3GS versions was mainly one of overall performance and some extra video capability, but it was the leap in function between the 2007 Apple iPhone and the 3G variation in 08 that really sent it over the top. Even with some concern over the extra high prices, the ability to download useful apps has taken the idea of a simple cell phone and lifted into another realm entirely.
